State Education Budget

All Pennsylvania children deserve a high-quality education.  The state is required by its constitution to provide the resources for a thorough and efficient education.  PCCY tracks the contributions the state makes to education and compares it to the needs of school districts to point out inconsistencies in funding and push for fair funding for all schools. Under the 2020-21 state budget, all school districts will receive the same Basic Education and Special Education Funding allocations they received in the 2019-20 school year.

We also work in coalition with the PA Schools Work campaign. Pennsylvania schools work – for students, communities and the economy – when adequate resources are available to give all students an equal opportunity to succeed.
